Caroline Steele played basketball from a young age but selected tennis as the sport to pay for her college. Caroline was coached by Larry Heflin and had other great influences such as Bennie Purcell, Mel Purcell, Judy Dixon and Billie Jean King that inspired, honed and developed her skills and person. She discusses the lifelong bonds and lessons that she developed through competing at the collegiate level.
